We had our first of many meetings with the buyers representative yesterday. We asked questions, he asked questions, we told our story, he asked questions, we talked about the future of our industry, he asked questions, we talked about the advantages of our state, he asked questions, do you see the trend here?
Being somewhat new at this level of business, we were not completely prepared which is not bad thing at this point in the sale, but it does show us that we need to get better prepared.
On my other Blog I have posted “A Good Business Man/Women Checklist” and although we are very compliant with that list, there are additional items that we need to prepare for the sale.
We are now convinced that there is indeed a buyer and we are now ready to hire a representative to protect us in the negotiations. I will keep blogging about this as it happens.

I would like more information. Does your company sell businesses for other people?
